You can make numerous adjustments on your pictures, to make them look better or to correct certain mistakes, like exposure or other aspects. Photopus gives you many possibilities in terms of image processing. It lets you transform and adjust your pictures and add various filters. Due to its simplicity, you can batch process any number of images fast and without any difficulties.

Besides the Pro version, a free one is available as well, but it has a few limitations. You can install the application in a matter of seconds. Its setup file is roughly 8 MB and the installation procedure involves only a few basic settings. Photopus works on Windows 2000 and all higher versions, up to Win 7.

The interface is divided into multiple sections, which are organized in a logical order. Using Photopus will feel like following a wizard's instructions. First, you must load the images which you want to process. It is possible to add individual images or target entire folders. Once loaded, you may proceed to the next section, which contains the main processing options.

Visual changes can be made by adding filters, which are grouped in different sub-menus. You can use the available filters to adjust the brightness, contrast, color balance, gamma, hue and saturation of your pictures. Other filters will crop, flip or rotate the images, while others will add various effects. When you select a filter, a preview of the processed image and the original will be displayed side by side, on a separate window. In certain cases, the window will contain one or more sliders, for adjusting the effect.

The software allows you to add any number of filters. Applied filters are displayed in a list and you can remove them or change their settings. Besides selecting filters, you may also rename and resize your images, on the same page. The Output section is where you can select a destination folder and a format. Photopus supports numerous image formats, including JPG, BMP, PNG, TIF and more. When selected, each format will display different output settings, on the same window. Finally, you may click the Process button, on the left side of the interface and the software will apply all your settings to the loaded images.

Pros

Photopus works like a wizard. You have to go through different stages, in logical order, to process your images. The software's functions are very easy to understand, so you can make numerous adjustments, without any effort.

Cons

The program's free version does not include options for adding watermarks. With Photopus, you can swiftly adjust your pictures, in various ways, regardless if you are a professional user or a beginner.
